Terry's party was lots of fun. Great food, fight in the parking lot, and the liquor flowed for cheap. He had requests on VINYL most of you other dj's haven't even flipped past in the record store. Kicks is the kind of dj people grew up with, tons of music (at the gig) and able to handle what for most other djs would be a very hostile crowd.
Terry Kicks doesn't show up for the gig with a euro shoulder bag (Purse) full of lousy dub mixes. Kicks rolls up with--THOUSANDS-- of 12" records 45s and 3 cases of CDs to boot. Two-hour set? Not here--Kicks played from 7pm till 2am then the hour fell back so he played till 2am, again. 8 hours total. He set the lights up Thursday, the sound Friday, turntables Saturday at 3:00, and then went to get his records.
